Week 5: Client Critique

A few weeks have since past since Professor, Frank Flury, and our IIT studio had initially met with the Clients. During that time, we have been incubating and processing through conceptual ideas at a up-tempo rate. Comprised of 8 teams, our individual and collaborative efforts have enabled our studio to rapidly conceptualize ideas, aiding in the development of our springboard for design. At the Client Critique, each group presented their intial ideas through verbal explination, physical models and visual/graphic aids. Among the 8 teams, at this time, three of these teams were the furthest developed.

Team 1: Frank Malawski, Joe Peroni and Mike Beemsterboer

Scope of Exploration: Developing a recyclable, modulated system, which offers an exhibition for the display of boxes on one side, while media may displayed on the opposing side.

Team 2: Ivan Reyes, Sergio Pardo Lopez and Jannette

Scope of Exploration: To create a framework that sustains multiple funtions consisting of shelving, seating and table surface. The holistic approach, attempts to blend the individual components into a singular, uniform framework.

Team 3: Regina Lamonica, Patricia Frale Garrido and Jonathan Reinecke

Scope of Exploration: To develop a "kinetic" experience, by allowing the voyeur to physically interact with the exhibition. The progession of the models clearly demonstrates the systems evolution witch is achieved through the errosion of all unecessary elements, which completely changes the aesthetic by altering the density of the system.
